My Sister

My Sister

On top of being absolutely gorgeous on the outside, she's even more beautiful on the inside. I honestly don't know what I would do without her in my life. Ever since I was a little girl she has been my "favorite" person. There is 9 years between us, so when I was a little girl she was my "Big" sister. Now that I'm older she's my confidant, my advice giver, my friend. She has the biggest heart and has been through so much in the ____ years of her life. :) I have always looked up to her for her strength in the life situations that have been thrown to her.

She texted me the other day and said she wanted to treat me to a girls day. It's so funny to me how sister's can just know the things you need without talking, and I was in desperate NEED of a pedicure! I had so much fun just catching up and spending time with her. I really feel sorry for girls that don't have sisters in their life.

Thank you so much for everything you do for me! You are the BEST and I want the whole blog world to know....HA!

The BEACH

We went on our first family vacation to Fort Walton Beach this year. It was a much needed trip for everyone. Matt has worked so hard the past year and I have recently started staying so home this trip was a MUST!

We bonded so much as a family on this trip. We are a blended family and a vacation together was exactly what we needed to get even closer. I love all my children very much and even though I didn't birth my bonus daughter Lilly, the love is the same. The relationship between Maggie and Lilly is the best. I'm so happy that they have each other as friends and now sisters.

The drive there wasn't bad at all. We drove at night so the kids could sleep and that worked out great! We went with my sister in law and her family and that added even more excitement and bonding for us. We spent most of our time at the beach and at the pool just "relaxing" and doing nothing. :)

We did go out to eat a few times, but we all decided that with eight kids it's so much more enjoyable to eat at the condo. The highlight for the adults on our trip was date night. We each took a night and went out with our spouses ALONE, while the other couple stayed in and ordered pizza with all the kids.

My favorite thing that came from this trip were my husbands words once we got home. "I love you more than you'll ever know. We grew closer this week and it was wonderful." This folks makes a girl smile on the inside and outside. :)

Our first family vacation was a success!!!

Family Dinner Night

Family dinner night at Amerigo's was delicious!!! I think Matt told me 10 times how good his tortellini was. Yum yum! We had so much fun. I love this crazy family...there is never a dull moment.
Matts mom Stephanie was half Italian. She passed away almost 1 year exactly before we met. I wish so bad that I would have gotten to meet her, but Ive learned so much about her through stories. Dedo is her sister and they look almost just alike. So its always neat for me to be around her, because I feel like Im getting to see his mom through her. We had dinner with Uncle Dave, Dedo, and Uncle Tom tonight since its been too long since we have seen them. I know Matt loved every minute of it. :)

Any night kid free makes us really happy!!! We love them to pieces but we love "our" time just as much.
Sibling love <3

The highlight of the night was the paper ball fight at the table! Ha...we know how to have fun!

Decorating and bow party

Decorating and Bow party!!

I am so excited! I got all these bows for $18.00! That is a great deal..I'm trying to get my bows back in order before school starts and now that my little princess MC is getting hair it's a must!

My little cutie modeling

Matching bows
I went tonight to help a friend decorate her house...I absolutley love to decorate! I didn't take pictures..but maybe I will post some soon. It turned out so cute...once we add a few more touches it will be perfect. I am seriously thinking about starting to help people with decorating on the side. Mostly bc I'm in "My" favorite place while doing it. :)

My children

 Lilly
Lilly is our oldest and wears that cap pretty well. She is very smart and is our more serious child. She loves helping me take care of Cannon and Merrie Clayton. She and Maggie are 11 months apart and that is SO much fun for them. They love sharing a room, playing together, and well just being together. Matt and I are going to have our hands full when they are teenagers!

 Maggie

Maggie is my burst of sunshine. She has the personality of walking in a room and making it light up. She is very smart, but loves to have fun. Spending a day with Maggie usually consist of 10 outfit changes, dancing, singing, or posing. She is truely a girly girl.

 Cannon

This is my sweet boy. Cannon is the warmest, sweetest, most loving boy. All of this can be seen once he warms up to you. He has the personality of being reserved until he is around you for a while and gets to know you. He is pure boy, and can entertain himself for hours with his cars.

Merrie Clayton

All I can say is watch out world! This child looks just like her daddy, but acts just like her mama. She is the funniest child, and loves to be on the go. She has the personality to turn any bad day to the best day. All I have to do is look at her and she makes me smile.

I love these babies so much! I thank God everyday for loaning them to me, and pray everyday that I will be the mom they deserve.

Learning to be frugile

So this week I have really surprised myself. I have walked away from two really great opportunities to spend money. We leave for our family vacation in a little over two weeks, and I'm trying not to spend any extra money. I have found my new favorite store in the world. Its in Hernando and it has everything I love. Im really into distressed furniture pieces. And I have the perfect bench picked out for my kitchen table. The other was tonight at the pampered chef party I went to. It was so much fun! I love getting together with friends, and the opportunity to meet new people. The food was awesome and the consultant was great. The hostess was my sister in law and she always has fun wherever she goes. I love hanging out with her because she cracks me up and we always laugh.

I plan on hosting a party of my own and will hopefully get some of the really great things that I saw tonight. I love the fact that I'm learning self control bc it's definitely something my teachers growing up said I lacked. :)

My new blog!

Welcome to my blog! I have wanted to do this forever and plan on doing it as often as possible to keep up with our busy lives. I have really been slacking in the scrap book department and think that this will be an easier way for me to keep up with everything. :) I really wish our last name started with a "K" bc my title would be so much cuter...but oh well you get the idea.

Sunday Funday
Today started with an early morning walk for me. As I was walking home I saw some wild flowers growing out of the sidewalk and instantly thought of a country song. I can't remember the name but it talks about God and how we know he's real...how else could something so beautiful happen? So of course I picked them and they are in a vase on my counter, I then rushed home to get me and MC ready for church, I love when my husband is off work and can go with us, but the weeks he works I have started volunteering for the nursery and I love it!

After church we went to have lunch at a Mexican resteraunt that's my mother in laws fav. I love spending time with Matt's family. They are so much fun to be around. Once home MC and I both took a nap...Can I get a heck yea?!? I love it when naps are in my day, The best part of my day was when my other two kiddos got home from the river. It is amazing how much your life feels complete when all your babies are with you, Some people may not get this but I bet some do. We were driving down the road with all the windows down and music up (our favorite thing to do) and I took in that moment, I love the feeling I get when looking back and seeing my kids truely happy, and I thank the Lord all the time for them.

We drove over and picked up my neice and nephew and went to Gracie Bleu...an awesome yogurt shop with tons of toppings, Such a great way to end the weekend. I am very excited about the week to come and will post about it soon!
